Terms and Conditions for SMS Text Messaging

Effective Date: January 1st, 2025

1. Introduction

College Skyline Center LLC uses SMS primarily for conversational purposes between patients and therapists. This includes patients being able to reach their provider regarding appointments or other information, as well as general communications and updates. Patients can opt-in to receive text messages by speaking to their therapist and give them verbal consent or by circling Yes on “Text Message Consent Option” on the patient’s Telehealth Form. The patient can opt out of text messaging at any time by texting “STOP”. Message frequency may vary, with an average of 1 – 2 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. For assistance, patients can text “HELP” for help, and to stop receiving messages, they can text “STOP”. 2. Consent to Receive SMS Messages

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive conversational messages from COLLEGE SKYLINE CENTER LLC. These messages are strictly limited to communication between you and your therapist for the purpose of supporting your therapeutic relationship. They may include:

  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellations
  • Administrative notifications (e.g., changes in hours, policies)
  • General wellness reminders
  • Billing and payment reminders

3. Message Frequency

The number of messages you receive will depend on your engagement with our services. Message frequency varies with an average of 1 – 2 messages a month

4. Opting In Or Out

You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying with “STOP.” Once opted out, you will no longer receive SMS messages, but you may still receive emails or phone calls regarding your care. Text “HELP” for help and “STOP” to unsubscribe. circling Yes on “Text Message Consent Option” on the patient’s Telehealth Form.

5. Fees and Charges

College Skyline Center, LLC does not charge for SMS messages; however, standard messaging and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Please check with your carrier for details.

6. No Emergency or Crisis Communication

Our SMS service is not for emergencies or urgent mental health matters. If you are experiencing a crisis, please call 911 or reach out to an emergency mental health service.

7. Privacy and Security

We take your privacy seriously. SMS messages are not encrypted, and sensitive health information should not be shared via text. We comply with HIPAA regulations to protect your data, but we recommend discussing confidential matters through secure communication channels.

8. Liability Disclaimer

College Skyline Center, LLC is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues, mobile network disruptions, or other factors beyond our control.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our SMS service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
